Frequently Asked Questions

Question -

Is there anything we can do with what we already have to make it better?

Answer -

In some cases, if the function of your space still works well, it is economically sensible to do a “facelift”, rather than a full on renovation of your operation. The extent of the facelift will depend greatly on the age and style of your facility, the existing condition of your physical space and the condition of the furnishings within. There are times, however, when a space is so outdated that a more extensive renovation is the most reasonable solution. Keep in mind, though, that an extensive renovation doesn’t have to break the bank. Working within the constraints of a reasonable budget is an irresistible design challenge for us.

Question -

Can we “go green”?

Answer -

Absolutely! I-Group, as a standard practice on every project, designs with sustainability in mind from the very first phase of the project. Particularly with new construction, “going green” is certainly the trend. I-Group Interior Design is well versed in selecting finish materials and furnishings that will allow the facility to meet the required LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) compliancy. We are accustomed to working with the architect, other design team consultants and the facility to ensure that all available LEED points are utilized. Even if your project is not striving for LEED certification, rest assured that we are committed to be environmentally responsible at every turn.

Question -

Where do we start in developing the overall design concept?

Answer -

It is important that you know the goal of your facility, the demographic you are targeting, your anticipated hours of operation, and many other attributes that will contribute to a successful project. I-Group will start with a Facilities Assessment to confirm your needs and goals then make recommendations on what we feel to be the appropriate scope of the project. Our collaboration with other industry professionals, i.e. contractors, architects, etc., will give you a complete picture of what to expect over the course of your project.
